A few weeks ago, Karrion Kross would drop Bronson Reed with his Doomsday Saito suplex. This would make most men scared, but it just made Reed ready for more. After running through Leon Ruff in record time last week, he’d be sure to call out Karrion Kross for a match. Seeing as Kross routed former NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa in just six minutes at NXT Takeover: In Your House, Reed’s chances weren’t good going into this one, but a win would boost his stock massively. Would the risk end up being worth the reward?
Karrion Kross Claims Another Victim
They would both march to the middle of the ring and meet nose to nose. Reed would launch some heavy forearms, even sending Kross to the mat. Kross would shove Reed into the corner and hit a huge boot to the face, followed by a huge forearm of his own. He’d then pick up the 360 pounder without issue, and hit an exploder suplex. Reed wouldn’t give up, and hit a german suplex, only for Kross to get up and want more. They would go shot for shot, each one heavier than the last. Kross would hit a northern lights suplex and float over, only to hit a lariat that Kenta Kobashi would blush at. He’d hit the Doomsday Saito, lock in the Kross Jacket, and win this short but incredible match.
Bronson Reed Looked Incredible In Defeat
While this was meant to be a showcase of Kross, this was the best showing of Bronson Reed yet. Anyone familiar with his pre-NXT work is aware of how good he is, and him going blow for blow with one of the heaviest pushed men in NXT history was huge. He looked almost as good as Ciampa did at NXT Takeover, just without getting a near fall on Kross. Hopefully he can keep the momenteum going, and find his max potential in WWE.
It’s clear that Kross will become NXT Champion soon, and in two weeks William Regal is going to need better security if he wants the Champion vs. Champion match to go off without a hitch.
