CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers here with an interesting throwback spoiler to last month, and January 6, 2003. We know it sounds like a bad time travel or déjà vu episode, but it’s basically the show runners deciding to re-air an episode we saw last month and covered here for Fans Choice week in June.
While this episode was in the top five of fan choices, at least according to the powers-that-be, it feels more like a combination of them placating us by showing a fan favorite, but also demonstrating that they’ll show whatever they want despite our comments.

Considering how often CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers and fans in general have called for older classic episodes and some semblance of continuity, and the fact they have 33 years to choose from, this episode doesn’t quite seem to fit into the Classic Confrontations Week. Especially given what we’ve seen the last few weeks between Steffanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). This thing is, we didn’t expect them to replay the replayed episode given their vast library, and this just feels off to us.
Anyway, enough of our ranting, onto the throwback spoiler.
Competition among us
To help Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) get his mind off of his troubles, Eric Forrester (John McCook) joined him in a head to head fashion contest in beautiful Portofino, Italy at the Portofino Challenge.
With Ridge at the head of Spectra Fashions, he set out to give Eric and Forrester Creations a good run. In fact, he may have had a chance but he felt Spectra’s presentation was lacking something special he was used to at Forresters. It didn’t mean he intended to give up, but he didn’t see much of a chance to prevail.
Any hope left when Brooke arrived vie boat on the Ligurian Sea and wearing the showstopper. In fact, everything came to a stop at seeing her.
Of course, there were plenty of friendly faces in he crowd like Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley), Bridget Forrester (Jennifer Finnegan), Massimo Marone (Joe Mascolo), and Darla Forrester (Schae Harrison). Each had their own interest in the show as everyone has a competitive bone in their body to some extent. It’s only natural.
To make things interesting, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and Clarke Garrison (Dan McVicar) emceed the event, which may or may not have gone over well with some in attendance.
What are your thoughts? Should Ridge and Eric have another go at their competition?
