Nothing like starting a new week off with a pool party, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are ready to get a new week started with some throwback spoilers. This episode is one of the more touching ones we’ve seen during these theme weeks as it focuses on celebrating Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) has been awarded to in Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)’s custody.
It was a grueling time for them, and Cassie helped decide the outcome when she took the stand, so it’s no surprise that she’s the guest of honor at the Newman Ranch. Of course, it goes without saying that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) know how to throw a party, even if a pool’s involved. It’s a celebration that Genoa City doesn’t often see very often.
Let’s grab some snacks and drinks (don’t forget the tissues) before we settle in for this gem from July 27, 1999.
Ready? Alrighty, here we go…

Words to remember
Daytime television has a long history of tapping into our emotions when it comes to their storylines, and this wasn’t any different. Nick and Sharon had been through their share of difficult times, as evidenced by both of their speeches. They took turns sharing their feelings, from Nick being beyond happy to have worked through his and Sharon’s problems to having Cassie with them. Sharon was similar, but she focused on their dealing with dark times and coming out stronger because of their struggles.
Their speeches hit a mark as diamonds ae produced from millions of years of pressure. While Nick and Sharon didn’t have to wait that long, they only had to hold onto their diamond after nearly fumbling her away.
All all good things come in threes, Cassie wanted to say something after Nick and Sharon finished. As we’ve grown used to seeing over the years, she explained that she’s happy to have parents as well as grandparents and a brother. Being part of a family helped make this the happiest day of her like, and she thanked Sharon and Nick as “mommy” and “daddy” for fighting so hard for her.
Nick became highly emotional at hearing her call him daddy for the first time, and it was the perfect way to close this scene off.
There’s something magical about scenes like these that CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers never get tired of them. Sure, we may tease and pick from time to time, but these moments are what’s really remembered through the years.
