Backstage at WWE Raw, Ruby Riott is about to be interviewed for her troubles with the Iiconics, who happen by to mock her for losing to them two weeks in a row.
Riott once again threatened to shut them up, and they mocked her for not having any friends. She then called in not Liv Morgan, but Bianca Belair.
Looks like a tag match is coming after the commercial break.
The Iiconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) vs Ruby Riott and Bianca Belair
Ruby Riott starts things off with Peyton Royce and took the fight to both Iiconics and it’s already a better match than the last couple of weeks.
Billie Kay aged in when Royce went off the ropes and caught Riott with a kick for a near pinfall.
The iiconics worked hard to keep Riott from tagging out, but she slipped free and Bianca Belair leveled Kay, squatting her at one point.
After Royce broke up a pin attempted pin, Riott took out Royce, and Belair hit Kay with her Kiss of Death for the win. It’s great to see Riott finally get to show her stuff after being treated like a jobber the last few weeks, and it looks like she’s found a partner that’s destined for great things.
Belair is an awesome addition to WWE Raw, but more than that, is this the beginning of a new Riott Squad?
Inquiring minds want to know.
24/7 Championship Challenge
Backstage, R-Truth approached Ricochet and Cedric Alexander and congratulated Ricochet for winning MVP on Raw, and he and Alexander corrected him. And when they point out Truth has a match with Randy Orton, Truth believes he was challenged by Ric Flair, not Orton.
Alexander points out he was challenged by Ric Flair on behalf of Randy Orton.
Truth then comes face to face with Tozawa and was nearly pinned in a rollup. With a standoff between Alexander, Ricochet and Truth with Tozawa and his ninjas, Truth challenged him to a 24/7 Championship match in the ring after the commercial break.
24/7 Championship R-Truth (c) vs. Tozawa – Baszler cut promo instead
Once in the ring, Truth pointed out he didn’t like Tozawa having three ninjas with him, and Shayna Baszler came out.
Tozawa sends his ninjas after Baszler one by one, and she takes them out effortlessly.
When Tozawa slipped out of the ring, Baszler turned her attention to Truth, who tossed her the mic and headed out of the ring.
Baszler cuts a great promo about shattering the illusion the women’s champions have by offering a hard dose of reality, “and I am that reality.” Things are going to pick up on WWE Raw in a big way as long as we’re not being teased because someone thinks it’s funny.
