What once was billed as a huge five-way match where Tessa Blanchard would defend the Impact Wrestling World Championship has given way to a four-way for the vacated title. Three of the four combatants are known, but the main story with this main event is who will the mystery opponent be?
With Ace Austin enlisting the help of Madman Fulton, his victory seemed to be all but guaranteed as Fulton took out Trey twice backstage, then helped Austin put the hurt on Eddie Edwards.
But that may not be the case after Trey got the best of Austin and Fulton the last two weeks, and Edwards has had a chance to heal.
But with things ready to go, we’re back to wondering who is going to be the big news of the day, and we have the same idea as just about everyone else, and it comes down to two people.

The mystery opponent is…
First option is Eric Young simply because they showed someone taking the Super Eric costume a couple of weeks back.
He’s an old fan favorite that would be a perfect fit for Eddie Edwards and take us back to yesteryears, but will he be there for more than a match? He was more of a producer in WWE, so it should make things interesting if he goes back to wrestling full time or wears both hats.
He’s the most likely fit because they teased the other individual on the show a few weeks back during one of Moose’s matches.
EC3’s music played during Moose’s match with Suicide, causing the self-proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion to hesitate. He’d be the perfect choice as the mystery opponent has been billed as a former world champion, and what better way to come back than in the main event and either win, or put over the new champion?
Of course, we like to think a little out of the box at times, and we think it’ll be both of them. Since their arrival has been stated as not coming alone, we’re going to go with that option and say EC3 will return as the competitor with Eric Young at his side.

The possibility of two former fan favorites returning together would put this match into the stratosphere and all eyes would turn to Impact Wrestling to see what’s going on.
But more than this, they’ll put over the new champion — we believe it’ll be Ace Austin — and then move onto other feuds. With EC3 seemingly teased for Moose, it’ll only be natural the two of them meet up and start a fresh rivalry, while Eric Young could work with Ace Austin and continue to push him higher.
