Hello and welcome to another WWE Raw! This looks like it’s going to be an interesting night, so let’s get things rolling.
WWE Raw started out with a recap of Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins’ Eye for an Eye Match at last night’s Horror Show: Extreme Rules and then we’re into the intro music.
Rollins then followed up the pre-intro promo with Seth Rollins and Murphy heading to the ring with. Tom Phillips added it looks like Rey Mysterio will retain his vision and make a full recovery.
As expected, Rollins attempted to describe what happened while sounding contrite.
He added he understood what the match stipulation meant, but he claimed it was a mistake that would be with him the rest of his life.
He’s locked on the visual of Mysterio holding his bloody eye and it was more than he expected.
He said the question that he kept asking himself is if he regrets it, he then answered it by asking the WWE Universe if we regret what the position we put Rollins in and for how we treated him.
He then pointed out it was Mysterio’s choice for the match stipulation
He said we cannot dwell in the past, and now “Rey Mysterio is out of sight.”
He went on that there’s no body left to stand in the way of the greater good, and Aleister Black, Rollins’ Raw opponent, came out.
Black called out Rollins for orchestrated everything and Black intended to rectify it. He took out Murphy outside the ring, bouncing Murphy off the entire barricade and over the announcer’s table before entering the ring.
Aleister Black Vs. Seth Rollins
WWE Raw returned from commercial and the match was already underway (Of course, why wait, right?), and Rollins was in control, working Black over in the corner.
Black turned the tide with a knee to the midsection and some kicks in the corner. Rollins slid out of the ring, and Black went after him. Murphy was careful to avoid him.
Black missed with a punch and hit the ring post. Rollins then threw Black into the ring and hit with a sling blade, reestablishing control.
Rollins continued working on Black’s injured right hand and arm and nearly had a pinfall after Black hurt himself punching Rollins.
Black started to fight back with some kicks, then ducked under a Rollin’s charge to send him oot of the ring.
Back in the ring, Black continued fighting, using a series of kicks before dodging a stomp and hitting with a Black Mass.
Murphy came in to interfere and was hit with a Black Mass, but not before Rollins fell out of the ring so he couldn’t be pinned.
Of to commercial we go.
WWE Raw came back with Black in control in the ring,
Black continues to keep in control with a series of kicks as he stalked Rollins, kneeling over him before pulling him up for another Black Mass, but Rollins ducked and rolled him up with a near pinfall.
Black missed another Black Mass and ate a superkick to buy Rollins some time.
After Rollins dropped Black with an arm wringer, he hit with a Stomp for the win.
Leaving the ring, Rollins actually started to bow to his titantron image, then turned back. He sent Murphy into the ring, and the two of them beat down Black.
Murphy ran him into the barricade a few times as Rollins looked to make Black’s arm a sacrifice and slammed it against the ring post.
Rollins slammed Black’s hand into the announcer’s table several times while Murphy held him down. Samoa Joe looked like he wanted to get involved but didn’t.
After a speech about how the Messiah was there to save him, Rollins Stomped Black’s right hand.
