The NXT Tag Team division has fallen to the side a bit ever since Imperium became champions, but Ever-Rise would look to try and get their names in the picture. This is hard when they can barely beat enhancement talent, but don’t kill their dreams. However, they’d be met by The Mountie on this day? Wait, no! It’s Breezango dressed as Mounties! Who would leave with the win, or are they looking past a veteran tag team?
The Mounties Always Get Their Men
Tyler Breeze would start this one off against Chase Parker, shutting down Parker with a shoulder block, and nearly ending this one early with a Supermodel Kick once or twice. Parker had it scouted, and would fall to the ground both times as Matt Martel started a defense chant on the apron, but ate a Supermodel Kick. Parker would attack from behind, and break two rules of life: don’t mess with a mountie, and don’t mess with Tyler Breeze’s clothes as he attacked his vest and then beat him down on the outside.
Breeze would find himself isolated after this, until he’d counter a backdrop and tag Fandango in to clean house with his power. He’d hit a beautiful russian leg sweep, hitting a backdrop alone the way. Breeze would tag back in after Fandango took out both of Ever-Rise on a dive. A few superkicks later, and Breezango gets a win. This was a more comedic match, but showed just how smooth a unit Breezango are. You need to have pretty good wrestling ability to find time in a match to joke around after all.
Breezango Get Another Win
The previous number one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Champions, this win puts them right back into the conversation for that title. Their previous title match was full of run-ins from the rest of the division, and if they got Imperium alone? They could have left with the titles. Another chance, and Tyler Breeze could win his first WWE title ever.
