After his return to the ring on last week’s WWE Raw, Mustafa Ali helped his friends, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander, gain a much needed win over MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin.
The only problem is he also made a trio of powerful enemies and they’ll want their pound of flesh.
Of course, we expect things to start off amicable enough as MVP will approach Ali about joining the Hurt Business. But will Ali?
Nah, we don’t think so either.
Choose your friends
Ali will stand up for himself and his friends, and MVP will seek to beat some sense into him at some point in the night.
This is an interesting storyline the WWE is running as they’re pitting the athletic muscular giants against the athletic slender fliers. So far, It’s been a fun feud.
But it seems only a matter of time before Lashley and Benjamin do some serious damage on MVP’s behalf, and Ali will find out about this the hard way
In fact, while this is happening, we expect him to get some help from an unlikely source.
Last week, MVP helped lure R-Truth into a trap for Shelton Benjamin to get the drop on him and wint he 24/7 Championship.
Knowing how R-Truth is obsessed with winning his baby back, we wouldn’t be surprised if he takes advantage of their momentary distraction to try and win the 24/7 Championship back from Benjamin.
Will he succeed? Probably not, but R-Truth isn’t a slouch, so he could pull it out.
This could lead to an interested backstage brawl or a tag team match.
Other ramifications
In a lot of ways, this could be the first big loss the Hurt Business suffers since Lashley lost to Drew McIntyre. Especially if R-Truth and Ali can both escape and evade them.
Chances are, it could spill into the ring during the three team match to determine WWE Raw Tag Team Championship’s number one contenders.
This would create a whole lot of chaos and perhaps influence the outcome of that match as well.
There’s plenty of ways for this to play out, and we’re curious to see how it does and who it affects.
This and the three team tag team match seem ripe for chaos to set the stage for more drama over the next few weeks.
