WWE Smackdown Results and Recap getting ready for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship match, and the constant tally of days Bayley has had her championship by Michael Cole.
Nikki Cross charged at Bayley right away, and Bayley just sidestepped her before hitting with a kick.
Cross quickly took over after catching Bayley off he ropes, and proceeded to pound Bayley in the corner before flipping her across the ring.
Bayley caught Cross with a kick when Cross attempted a back drop off the ropes.
Bayley then slipped out of the ring, but Cross went after her and threw her back into the ring.
They traded kicked through the ropes before Bayley hit with a leg drop while Cross was draped over the bottom rope. Cross kicked out of the pin attempt.
Bayley continued working Cross over in the corner, but she caught Bayley with a big boot when she charged in, then threw Bayley into the ring post.
Then Cross hit with a cross body on Bayley outside the ring as we headed to commercial.
So close
We’re back and both are in the ring (notice a trend with commercial breaks) and Bayley was in control and had a near pinfall of Cross.
Bayley then rand Cross from one post to another before hitting with a reverse suplex and a near pinfall.
Bayley works her over in a corner once again, but then missed with an elbow, and Cross too advantage with a handful of strikes and kicks before hitting with a cross body for a near pinfall.
Cross then hit with a tornado DDT from the second rope, but Bayley kicked out.
Bayley tried to leave the ring, but Cross caught her and hit with a reverse neck drop on the ring apron.
Back in the ring, Cross caught Bayley with Sasha Banks’ ring she slipped Bayley, and threw it at Banks to shrieks of “How dare you!”
Cross hit with another suplex, but Bayley kicked out, and then hung Cross on the second rope as she slipped out of the ring.
Bayley chose then to stand on the announcer’s table to mock Cross, but Cross took out her legs, then bounced her off the barricade before throwing Bayley into the ring.
Banks tried to distract the referee, but Bliss took her out, the Cross hit her with a drop kick.
They exchanged several pin attempts before Bayley finally hit with a face slam into the mat for the pin.
This was a great match and easily the match of the night.
It’s going to be interesting to see what’s next for Nikki Cross now that she’s lost once again. Especially considering this one was a clean win by Bayley for a change.
No sooner did we ask that than after the match as Bliss tried to console Cross, Cross’s frustration got the better of her and she shoved Bliss down and left the ring.
While Bliss sat in the ring, the lights went out and the Fiend appeared behind her and circled her, holding his hand out.
The Fiend then kneeled next to her, and a terrified Bliss could only shake her head as the Fiend held his hand up and then slowly moved in before striking with a mandible claw.
