Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s WWE Raw Live Results and Recap!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and it looks like we’re going to have a fun show tonight as Shane McMahon returns as well as a new faction arising.
Will they be one and the same or rivals?
Segment 1
United States Championship – Apollo Crews vs. MVP (w/The Hurt Business – Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin)
The match started with MVP and Apollow Crews exchanging holds and blows while the power flickered and threatened to fail.
Crews hit with a swanton over the ropes to take out the Hurt Business at he commerical break.
Segment 2
A good match saw Apollo Crews win and slip out of the ring before Lashley could him with a full nelson after the match.
MVP demanded a rematch at SummerSlam for the US Championship.
Segment 3
Bayley and Sasha Banks showed a video about how they outsmarted Asuka, but Asuka ended it by saying revenge is “very, very sweet.”
Shayna Baszler then approached them and clockd Banks. Looks like she’s going to challenge for the Raw Women’s championship at SummerSlam.
Segment 4
On the Kevin Owens show, Owens brought Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan together, but the Iiconics came out and a fight ensued. Guess what match is most likely next?
Segment 5
Iiconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) vs. Riott Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan)
A quick match ended with a Riott Squad win when Morgan rolled up Billie Kay for the pin.
The iiconics then attacked Morgan, but Riott saved her then they took out Kay before heading backstage.
Segment 6
Charly Caruso reported on boxes tipping over earlier, and Apollo Crews accepted MVP’s challenge for the US Title at SummerSlam.
Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton cut a segment that raised the goosebumps. That’s how it’s done.
Segment 7
Owens challenged Rady Orton to a match next week, and Nia Jax is suspended indefinitely without pay for assualting a WWE official.
Maybe she’s going to join the new faction?
Segment 8
24/7 Championship Triple Threat Match – Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa
Akira Towzawa pinned R-Truth to win the 24/7 championship and ran off.
Shane McMahon was next to an underground ring with MMA fighters, and said for us to tune into RAW Underground at 10 to find out what’s going on.
Segment 9
Dominic Mysterio challenged Seth Rollins to a match at SummerSlam.
Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks (w/Bayley)
A pretty decent match was ended through disqualification? when Asuka attacked Bayley outside the ring. More than a little confusing since Bayley wasn’t invovled in the match, but whatever.
Asuka then chased Banks out of the ring and Baszler was nowhere in sight.
This is as off as it can get. Guess they’re throwing darts at a dartboard for what to do now?
Segment 10
Asuka will get a rematch at SummerSlam if she can beat Bayley next week.
Baszler wants Asuka to win so she can destory her for the Raw women’s championship.
Segment 11
We got a better glimpse of Raw Underground and a giant of a man called Mustafa Keto.
It looks like an underground MMA type of thing where they go until someone can’t fight anymore.
Segment 12
Angelo Dawkins vs. Angel Garza
Dawkins dominated, but was distracted the Ford collapsed outside the ring for no reason. Garza then hit with a pair of kicks for the win.
Segment 13
Montez Ford vs. Andrade
This was a wierd match as Ford struggled througout before finally passing out and the referee called for a doctor.
Backstage, Murphy questioned Rollins about Dominic’s challenge, calling it ridiculous. Rollins smiled and walked away leaivn Murphy wondering.
Segment 14
Another match from Raw Underground showed Erik of the Viking Raiders wipe the floor with his opponent.
It was then announced they believe Montez Ford was poisoned, leading to a brief confrontation between Zelina Vega and Ford’s wife, Bianca Belair.
They showed security footage of poeple dressed in black torching a larg amp outside the building. guess this nonsensical bit explains their power issues tonight.
Segment 15
Rollins came out and threatened the announcer Tom Phillips for laughing while Dominic beat him with a kendo stick last week.
He order Murphy to take him, but Samoa Joe stopped them, and after exchanging insults, Rollins dared him to come into the ring.
Segment 16
Dominic attacked Rollins and Murhpy, sending them running from the ring, but not before Rollins accepted his challenge.
The Hurt Business took over Raw Underground and closed the show after beating everyone there.
This episode was just bad. It’s easily the worst we’ve seen in a while as it was nonsensical and had the feeling of being randomly thrown together.
Hopefully, it’ll improve next week.
