Tegan Nox failed to become NXT Women’s Champion recently, but a star making performance against Io Shirai would raise her stock considerably. Last week alongside Io Shirai, she would get a big tag team win over Candice LeRae & her bitter rival Dakota Kai.
However, this week she would need to face Indi Hartwell in singles action. Would Nox be able to string some wins together, or would Hartwell do this instead after getting her first win in WWE?
Indi Hartwell Meets The Shiniest Wizard
Hartwell would start by bragging she beat Shotzi Blackheart, and take a headbutt from Nox. This advantage wouldn’t last long, with some heavy power moves from Hartwell dropping her opponent. Nox would be trapped with a headlock in the middle of the ring, but rally back to her feet.
Hartwell would drop her opponent with a back elbow, but only get a two count before going back to the headlock. Nox would again get back to her feet, and get the rollup for a near fall before eating a big boot to the face. She’d fend off Hartwell in the corner before diving in for some strikes, getting aggressive with stomps in the corner.
A big cannonball senton in the corner would stun Hartwell, and a Shining Wizard would close this one out in short fashion for Nox.
Tegan Nox Is Staying Ready For Her Next Big Shot
Tegan Nox is going to remain as one of the bigger names in the NXT Women’s Division. She might not be in the title picture right now, but the 24 year old is staying in the conversation. Her match with Io Shirai proved that she’s got the skills to be a top star, and should Dakota Kai leave NXT Takeover XXX as NXT Women’s Champion, their past will lead them together once again.
Until that next big shot though, she needs to keep winning some smaller matches like this one against Indi Hartwell. They might not be glamorous headline news wins, but they keep someone sharp and ready, which will eventually bring her to the level deserves to be at. Her time will come, provided her legs can take her there.
