WWE Smackdown Results came back and Sasha Banks and Bayley were heading to the ring.
Bayley started off how they both had to defend their championships at SummerSlam and will have to defend their tag team championship at WWE payback.
She then announced how they are so awesome, but stopped when she was going to announce Banks’ old double championship name.
She then admitted it was her fault for allowing Banks to challenge Asuka, and cited Banks’ history of not being able to hold onto a singles championship.
She continued that they’re in this together, and how Banks always says their tag team championship is like their friendship and they can’t lose.
Banks responded that there’s no reason for Bayley to worry, and said as long as Bayley has her back, they’ll hold onto the championship.
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax interrupted them over the titantron, promising to wreck them on Sunday.
They explained how much they hate each other, but the tag team championship is worth putting up with each other.
They pointed out Banks and Bayley wwre talking about everything but winning.
Banks gave it right back to them and said how she will get her vengeance at Payback.
Whelp, they succeeded in firing Banks up.
On the hunt
Pierce’s search took him to Drew Gulak, who demanded to know where Braun Strowman was.
Gulak spotted Strowman at a catering table and hit in over the back with a steel chair.
Strowman never moved, and Gulak threw the chair to Pierce and ran off.
Pierce quickly explained himself to a pissed off Strowman, but Strowman will only sign if he gets Gulak in the ring. Pierce agreed.
So, he’s going to kill Gulak in a few minutes.
We headed backstage to Cesaro explaining why Nakamura shouldn’t have run off, and a reunion between Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sami Zayn followed.
Though they weren’t as excited to see Zayn as he was them.
They were pissed he’d disappeared, but Cesaro said things improved for the better.
Zayn tried to take credit for him, and put his Intercontinental belt on the table with their in the Champions Lounge but Cesaro stopped him, saying they were having a private conversation.
Zayn kinda took the hint. Reluctantly.
Braun Strowman vs. Drew Gulak
Strowman tossed Gulak across the ring and then hit with a splash in the corner.
Corey Graves mentioned how this resembled the cow being fed to the raptors in Jurassic Park, and he’s right.
Strowman hit with a clothesline, a senton bomb, and then clubbed Gulak on the chest a few times.
A chokeslam followed, and Strowman picked him up by his beard and shouted at him “Is this what you wanted?” before hitting with a running powerslam.
