The up and down story of Robert Stone Brand continues after they got some main event exposure in Mercedes Martinez & Rhea Ripley. It was a brutal steel cage match, and Ripley won in the end, Robert Stone was knocked out and left on top of the cage, not their best night. At least Stone didn’t get run over by Shotzi Blackheart once again!
However, now Robert Stone & Aliyah have decided that Martinez isn’t right for their group. They simply can’t control her, and have decided she’s getting bigger than the brand, and have seeked to remove her from the brand.
Robert Stone & Aliyah Think They Don’t Need Mercedes Martinez
After serving papers to Mercedes Martinez, Stone would take to Twitter to say ‘We didn’t need Mercedes. Me and Aliyah are unstoppable’. This is ignoring the fact that both Aliyah and Stone got laid out by Io Shirai & Shotzi Blackheart earlier this week on NXT, and that Mercedes Martinez was their only actual threat.
She’s still a threat in NXT for now, but her target is now Robert Stone Brand themselves. She’d fire back on Twitter with ‘Unstoppable at RUNNING AWAY from everything that scares the both of you.
I’ll get you both on the “trip” side…’ followed by some laughing emojis.
Mercedes Is Likely To Move To Main Roster Soon
With Mercedes Martinez being on the older side, with over a decade of experience, it doesn’t make sense to leave her in NXT for too long. She will likely demolish Aliyah in a match, Robert Stone would be thrown into something he doesn’t want to be in, and then head to the main roster in the coming draft.
It’s possible that Martinez could move onto challenging Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship, having used the Robert Stone Brand as a launching pad. Her future will be one to watch closely in WWE, either in NXT, Smackdown, or RAW.
