“Who is the best tag team on 205 Live” has been a question posed recently, but isn’t the answer obvious? Legado Del Fantasma leader Santos Escobar holds the Cruiserweight Championship, but Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza are the deadliest team on the brand as well.
They showed this with a brutal beatdown last week, taking out Ever-Rise and their opponents tonight, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch. Will they once again stand tall, or will the Brit-Am Brawlers kick their asses?
Legado Del Fantasma Start Smart
Lorcan would start with Wilde, with some chain wrestling, unexpected due to the already high anger level of Lorcan in this match. After breaking the headscissors, Wilde would dropkick the left arm of Lorcan, their target from the beatdown last week. Mendoza & Wilde would make quick tags as they tear the arm apart.
Lorcan would break out and tag in Danny Burch, who’d then throw some hard chops before going for a quick crucifix pin. Burch would be thrown off of Mendoza, who dove at him only to be picked out of the sky by the ankle. Lorcan would be tagged back in, and a double suplex would be hit.
It would take more than this to stop Mendoza, who hit a big crossbody to take out Lorcan, but Burch still stands. He’d brutalize Mendoza with uppercuts before looking for his middle rope front dropkick. Wilde would distract Burch, and Legado Del Fantasma regained control in this match.
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch Find Their Chance
Some stomps to the face would normally not be a smart way to go against Danny Burch, but Legado Del Fantasma are in complete control. They’d slam Burch into the mat and try to crack his legs like a wishbone, before double basement dropkicks. Burch got a chance to make the tag after dodging a dropkick, allowing Lorcan to come in.
He’d hit anything that moved with a lariat before throwing Mendoza around. A running european uppercut followed by the running blockbuster, and this one was turned around. Wilde would be hit with the elevated DDT, but Mendoza saved the match before the three count.
Alone with Burch, Wilde would be dropped on his head by a German Suplex and then dropped with a lariat. Santos Escobar would hop up on the apron, and distract the referee at this time. Ever-Rise would make their way down the ring to pick a fight with Escobar, and this one was going to explode.
They would slam Escobar off the apron of the ring, and Burch looked on, only to be rolled up by Wilde, ending this match with a pinfall.
Legado Del Fantasma would make their way to the back. This is going to lead to a triple threat tag team match very soon, who will stand tall? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
