Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and it looks like we have an interesting show coming up tonight.
So grab some snacks and drinks, and we’ll see you back here for showtime at 8 pm EST.
Segment 1
The Dirt Sheet with the Miz and John Morrison started the show and brought up the Miz sending Mandy Rose to Raw.
Otis came out and with Tucker tossing them back in, he leveled miz and Morrison, and stripped Miz down to his underwear.
Interesting start.
Segment 2
Gran Metalik (w/Kalisto and Lince Dorado) vs. Cesaro (w/Shinsuke Nakamura)
Dysfunction abounded in Lucha House party as Dorado and Kalisto kept distracting Metalik while they argued over who to tell him what to do.
They were sent back to the locker room as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
The match continued with Cesaro controling the final portion as he hit the Neutralizer for the pin.
In an interview, Jey Uso said Paul Heyman told him last week was a miscommunication and he and Reigns will always have each other’s backs.
Anyone else feel a double cross coming tonight?
Segment 4
A Moment of Bliss was interesting as Nikki was clsoe to getting an answer from Alexa about last week when Lacey Evans came out and insulted them.
Nikki hit her a few times, and they have a match after the commerical.
Segment 5
NIkki Cross vs. Lacey Evans
This was a really good match and possibly the best of the night. Evans showed great technical work but Nikki got the win following a DDT off the top turnbuckle, then a drapping neckbreaker.
Evans berated Alexa and the announcers, mentioning “The Fiend.” Alexa went into a trance-like state and hit her with a Sister Abigail before calmly walking to the backstage area,
Segment 6
Sasha Banks gave a great emotional promo from the WWE Performance Center, but as soon as she said she’d be coming for Bayley’s title, Bayley attacked her with a chair from behind.
Help arrived before Bayley could do more damage, but this went pretty much like we expected.
This was one of the best promos WWE Smackdown Live Results have seen.
Segment 7
Aj Styles vs. Sami Zayn
This started one-sided, but Zayn fought back.
Style hit with a cross body over teh top ropes as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
Styles won by outcheating the cheater, then Jeff Hardy came out and took both Styles and Zayn out.
Jeff then said he’d face both of them at Clash of Champions in a Triple Threat Ladder Match.
Oh boy, this is going to be a good one.
Otis was served with a lawsuit backstage.
Um…
Segment 9
Otis has one week to turn over the MITB contract or Miz and Morrison will take him to court.
Big E used the guy that set him up to set up Sheamus, but Sheamus got away.
Big E beat up the guy and locked him in a car trunk before Adam Pearce told him he had to leave.
Guess Big E’s gonna pull a “surprise” appearance at the main event?
Segment 10
Samoan Street Fight – Roman Reigns (w/Paul Heyman) and Jey Uso vs. King Corbin and Sheamus
Reigns came out first to avoid any confusion this week, and stated it’s his yard, ring, and WWE and dared anyone to take it from him.
Segment 11
Jey hit Corbin with the Universal belt, Reigns then hit him with a spear, and Jey finished it with an Uso splash for the pin.
After the match, Jey and Reigns smiled at each other as they shared the moment, but as Jey left the ring, Reigns’ mood changed to a hard and dangerous one.
This was a better match than we expected, and WWE Smackdown Live Results are glad it ended clean.
All of the matches were pretty good, and we hope this is a sign that things aren’t going to be so hectic and nonsensical going forward.
