On his 28th birthday, Cameron Grimes looks to celebrate in his favorite way. By stomping someone into the mat, and hitting up that pay window without breaking a sweat. Last week, he was the runner-up in the gauntlet eliminator match, even drawing the lost spot.
Cameron Grimes Introduces The Stepping Stone To The Moon Challenge, It Ends Horribly
He’d take the microphone, and say he’s not in the best mood this week. Regal couldn’t have come up with such a terrible idea as the Gauntlet Eliminator, and doesn’t want to know who does. Grimes has his own match, a Cameron Grimes Inventional Stepping Stone To The Moon Challenge.
His first opponent would enter the ring, and hit the Cave In and pin him within seconds. But his second opponent would be thrown across the stage by Ridge Holland, who seems to be accepting this challenge for his own. He’d march to the ring, headbutt Grimes and this one was official.
Holland would throw Grimes across the ring, and deliever some clubbing blows, getting into a proper scrap. He’d actually be disqualified after trying to stomp Grimes into the mat and ignoring the referees five count. Technically Grimes won two matches tonight, what a great birthday present.
Holland didn’t come to play games like Grimes did, and this was a statement made at the expense of Grimes. If you want to joke around, NXT is no longer the place with Ridge Holland around.
Ridge Holland Will Have A Big Challenge Ahead Of Him
While tonight he caught Cameron Grimes off his guard, this is not something that will be let go easily. He’s taken men like Keith Lee, Damien Priest, Finn Balor & Johnny Gargano to the limit, and he’s going to be focused on taking Ridge Holland out next. Ridge Holland has had some great matches so far in WWE, but it’s time for his first proper feud.
Holland is the type of asskicker NXT needed, and Grimes is a fine way to start what will likely be a rapid rise. Will Ridge Holland be able to win a proper match against Cameron Grimes? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
