WWE hasn’t been without controversy over the last couple of months. With a few members of the roster getting fired to sexual allegations. Matt Riddle and Velveteen Dream are a part of the allegations but haven’t been proven as both have denied the allegations. With these allegations on some of their Superstars, you would think WWE would stay away from anything close to a romantic story that could be controversial. Well you would have been wrong. It should be noted that WWE isn’t real and is scripted meaning that none of this is real. The fact that there was controversy around WWE not long ago. This doesn’t seem like the right move.

Fans took to Twitter to say how they felt. With Murphy in his mid-30s and Aaliyah Mysterio only being 19. It should be said that there is nothing illegal here but for fans watching. It seems like they just don’t like the fact that there’s over a 10 year age gap. With a lot of fans feeling shocked that the story is on Raw at all. It’s no surprise that fans have reacted like this. If WWE predicted this would increase ratings. It wouldn’t be that surprising but it just seems like another bad idea from WWE creative.
Will fan backlash stop this story?
The massive fan backlash could end up changing the storyline. It’s not like the story is set in stone as of this minute there have only been 2 or 3 small segments with them in it. There is the fact that this could bring in viewers because people want to see what’s going on with them. WWE have had some controversial storylines in the past. That is a story and none of it is real. So really if it doesn’t go too far, they could easily carry on the story. What do you think of the storyline?
