A Recap of the Intercontinental Championship match from Clash of Champions was played, prepping WWE Smackdown Results for Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn’s match still to come.
Afterwards, we switched to the backstage area where Zayn said we expected him to go on about his victory and the world seeing his genius on display.
But he said he’s resentful at having to go through a ladder match to defend what should’ve been his all along.
He said he should’ve blamed WWE management, but it’s the fans’ fault because we never said a word and went along with him being stripped and the new belt.
He pointed out how he’s going to do what the other two should’ve done with the scam championship and dropped it into a garbage can because it belongs in the trash of history.
What if he threw the wrong one away? Just a thought. WWE Smackdown Results did hope Jeff Hardy collected the disposed belt, but we’d be let down.
John Morrison vs. Otis
The Miz and Tucker were banned from ringside, so WWE Smackdown Results expect this to be a short one.
In a prerecorded promo, Otis said he’s going to defend himself and his MITB contract in court next week. Oh joy,
Morrison rucked behind Otis, but Otis backed him into the corner.
Otis charged at him and Morrison hit with a kick before sliding out of the ring. Morrison then caught Otis in the ropes with a kick, but Otis nailed him with a right on the apron.
Otis then stood on his chest for a few seconds, before running over Morrison with a few shoulder blocks.
Otis then caught him in mid kick and threw him across the ring where Otis hit with a splash in the corner.
Otis then hit with a caterpillar and elbow, followed by a Vader Bomb for the win.
Sheamus vs. Shorty G (who wasn’t announced)
Shorty G went for a roll up pin attempt off the bat, but Sheamus kicked out.

Shorty G Sidestepped a charge, and Sheamus hit the ring post. Shorty G hit with a Northern Lights suplex for another pin attempt.
Sheamus hit with a Brogue Kick after Shorty G missed a moonsault and landed on his feet.
Sheamus hit with a second Brogue Kick for the pin.
At least, WWE Smackdown Results got to see a pre-recorded challenge for a Street Fight from Big E. This will be one worth getting some popcorn for.
