After getting beat by Adam Cole last week, Austin Theory is back and looking to get back on track aganist Leon Ruff. Ruff was all over WWE a few months back, and now he’s signed. They know each other from their time in Evolve, and have a match tonight to see who is better.
Leon Ruff Was No Match For Austin Theory
Ruff might have a horrible win-loss record, but he almost stole this one with a hurricanrana, getting a near fall mere seconds. He’d use his insane agility to put Theory on the defensive, even rebounding off the ropes for big lariat. Ruff would unfortunately slip on the top rope, and get caught with the ATL for the win.
Following the match, Theory would take the microphone. He’d say that this is what happens when he has time to warm up. Theory would call out Adam Cole after their match last week, and make fun of his broken ribs. Austin Theory is the future of NXT, and there isn’t a thing anyone can do about it… or is there.
The music of Dexter Lumis would hit, and now back from injury, Dexter Lumis is here. His cold steely eyes would stare through Theory. Theory claimed he will beat anyone right here right now, and Lumis stepped up.
Dexter Lumis Steps Up For A Match
Lumis would catch the boot of Theory, and nail an uppercut on him, sending him to the mat. Hard strikes in the corner would pummel Theory, before he’d take some of his own. Lumis would miss two lariats, but get the Thesz Press, raining down shots on Theory who fled to the outside and lost the brawl there.
Back in the ring, a bulldog would drop Theory for a two count, before we went to the commercial break. Throughout the break, Theory would be beat down by Lumis, but take control just as we come back. He’d hit a back suplex on Lumis for a two count, and applied an arm lock, giving something for Lumis to rally back from.
Austin Theory Bit Off More Than He Could Chew
Theory would drop him with a lariat and a standing moonsault, getting a two count. Lumis was far from done, and threw some punches before ending up in a front-headlock. A suplex would be hit, but again only got a two count.
Theory would go for another, but Lumis countered out and nailed a big spinebuster in the middle of the ring. A rolling thunder into a monkey flip sent Theory across the ring, and a slingshot suplex put him down for a two count. Theory came back with a rolling dropkick, but Lumis shrugged this off and started moving like a slasher movie villian. He’d plant Theory, apply Silence and this one was over.
Cameron Grimes came out of nowhere with the Cave-In to Lumis, and that sets up a future match. Who will win the match between Lumis & Grimes? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
