The WWE Draft will continue on Raw tonight, with a number of huge changes expected following Friday’s unpredictable start to proceedings. However, the draft will not be the only exciting this for fans to look forward to this evening as there will be a huge dual-branded battle royal to determine the woman that will be stepping up to face Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship. But, which superstar could win this match?
WWE News: Naomi
Naomi was among one of the noteworthy names that was drafted to Raw as part of the opening night of changes. She could now be best placed to be in line for a championship opportunity at the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV. Naomi has been underused on SmackDown throughout much of the last year after returning to the blue brand following injury. The lack of stars in the Raw women’s main event means that she could be immediately elevated to challenge for the top title on Raw.
WWE News: Zelina Vega
Asuka’s most recent opponent for the championship has been Zelina Vega, and the WWE may look for the two superstars to continue their rivalry at the upcoming PPV. Vega has been shining since announcing that she will be competing as a singles star, and that push could continue with a huge win in the battle royal. Vega has all the capabilities to be one of the biggest stars in the women’s division, and she has already shone when sharing the ring with Asuka over the past couple of months. A huge win in the battle royal will set up a third title opportunity for the former manager, and we wouldn’t mind seeing Vega and Asuka go at it one final time.
WWE News: Charlotte Flair
We haven’t seen Charlotte Flair since just after WrestleMania, which means her return could be growing closer with every passing day. It’s likely that when she does finally return she will be thrown straight back into the title picture as that has been what the WWE has constantly done over the past couple of years. If she is set to return tonight, then we could see her named as one of Raw’s first draft picks and then she could compete in the battle royal during the show. There will be no problem in seeing Flair and Asuka compete for the title, but we certainly don’t need another Flair title run.
