The WWE Draft is finally over, which means that all eyes will now turn to the feuds that we can expect to see on weekly television over the next couple of weeks and months. Before we can look too far into the future, we will need to get past the Hell In A Cell PPV that takes place at the beginning of November.
However, Drew McIntyre successfully defending his championship against Randy Orton may not mean long-term security for the WWE Championship. In fact, the draft could mean that there are now a number of superstars that could target the Scotsman.
WWE News: Braun Strowman
One of the first names that could be in line for a title opportunity after Orton could be Braun Strowman. It doesn’t seem that long ago that Strowman was the Universal Champion, but the end to his feud with Roman Reigns meant that he was lost in the shuffle on SmackDown.
There will now be big hopes for the Monster now that he is on Raw, and it seems as though there will be a title match between McIntyre and Strowman in no time at all. As soon as the feud with Orton is over, we could see McIntyre begin a programme with Strowman.
WWE News: AJ Styles
As soon as the draft was completed, the match that many fans immediately gravitated towards was that between AJ Styles and McIntyre. Styles moved to Raw during the draft, and that will welcome a swift change in direction.
He was a little lost after the end of the Intercontinental feud, which meant that his switch to Raw was an expected one. Hopefully, we will not have to wait too long to see Styles and McIntyre come to blows, as it could be a dream match that could mark McIntyre’s title reign as a huge success.
WWE News: The Fiend
Bray Wyatt’s arrival on Monday night will mean that the countdown will be on until we see McIntyre take on the freaky character. There aren’t many more interesting superstars in the world of wrestling than The Fiend, but throwing him in the ring with McIntyre immediately could be damaging for both involved. However, we would still love to see the two of them feud at some point, but the timing is crucial.
