Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results and the season premiere for WWE Smackdown!
This should be an interesting night. Though a few of the matches look predictable, things can change at any point so we’ll have to stay on our toes.
Alrighty, let’s get things rolling.
New season, same sale
We got a new updated opening graphic to go with the new season. Pretty cool.
The roster gathered on the stage to kick off the new season as well, and Stephanie McMahon and Triple H were in the ring to welcome us.
Triple H promised something new for everyone in a season premiere, and he then pimped out the main event between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
After the listed matches, they introduced new faces like Kevin Owens, Aleister Black, and Sami Zayn, who isn’t new, and others.
As they introduced the Street Profits, they came out fighting Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode all the way to the ring.
The roster followed suit, brawling their way to the ring and into it.
It was total chaos, and Owens tool out three wrestlers on the floor with a senton off the apron.
Montez Ford flipped over the ropes to take out Roode and Ziggler on the floor.
Lars Sullivan came out and the focus was the four men left in the ring Shorty G, Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, and Kalisto.
Sullivan leveled the Street Profits on his way to the ring,
Kalisto dove through the ropes but Sulivan caught him and slammed hm into the barricade.
Once Sullivan was in the ring, Zayn dove out between the ropes, leaving Crews and Shorty G to fight Sullivan, and they went after him with an explosion of punches.
Sullivan threw them both off and nailed Crews with a clothesline, then hit Shorty G witn an Accident.
Jeff attacked Sullivan from behind with an double ax handle and went for a Twist of Fate, then ducked when Sullivan charged him so Sullivan went out of the ring.
Jeff Hardy vs. Lars Sullivan
Jeff tried to take Sullivan off his feet, but it didn’t work and Sullivan leveled him with a clothesline, and then hammered on him from behind.
Sullivan hit with a sliding clothesline for a pin attempt, but Jeff kicked out.
Sullivan then went to the top rope but missed a splash or flying head butt attempt when Jeff rolled out of the way.
Jeff took advantage of it with several strikes and a jawbreaker, and then his with a right ff the ropes an dan inverted drop.
Sullivan nailed him in the back with a forearm, then ran into an elbow in the corner.
Jeff hit Whisper of the Wind for a pin attempt but Sullivan kicked out with authority.
Jeff tired to hit the Twist of Fate, and Sullivan shoved him out through the ropes.
Jeff then leaped at him, but Sullivan caught him and slammed him into the ring apron.
In the ring, Jeff hit a Twist of Fate, but he was on his feet by the time Jeff got to the top rope.
Sullivan hit a Freak accident after grabbing Jeff off the top rope for the win.
Whelp, WWE Smackdown Results expected this to be a squash match, and it was pretty close. Great effort by Jeff.
