CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with some emotional spoilers to kick off the new week.
We’ve just seen the end of an era with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams)’s passing away after her bout with Alzheimer’s, and it was a fitting send off.
There’s more than enough justification from fans about the show’s writers going overboard with the flourishes and embellishments to create a perfect moment for Dina to leave.
But that’s part of the show’s charm and what helped us say goodbye to a beloved character than kept us and Genoa City on their toes for 37 years.
And now, it’s going to fall on the Abbotts to deal with the aftermath of her passing, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect it to lead to some emotional landmines.
So, we’d better grab some comfort food and pass around the tissues, because this could be a rough one.
And the ride won’t get any easier for Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) as his past is going to catch up with him, and we’re guessing not in a good way.
He’s one of many that are suffering from the fallout from the expose on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and it could only get worse from here on out.
End of an era
With Dina’s passing, she’s joining a long list of legends that have helped make Genoa City what it is on the show, and she brought all of the Abbotts together.
It’s an interesting feat considering how she was far from a good mother for most of her life, yet her children still loved her enough that their bonds could never be destroyed.
We expect this episode to entail setting up or having the actual service, and with it will come plenty of flashback clips as each Abbott will remember their fond and not-so fond memories of Dina.
It’s going to be an awesome scene that’ll cause us to go through the tissues, but it’s deserved and will help make this episode one for the ages.
Can’t outrun the shadows
Chance has worked hard to establish a new life for himself in Genoa City and the world was his oyster not too long ago, but now it looks like the oyster will slam shut.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are sure this if going to be about him helping Adam, and he could be facing an indictment or his former superiors will coming calling.
It was bound to happen at some point, especially given how the article exploded online.
As such, everything Chance has built as well as his future with the GCPD and even Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) could be in jeopardy.
He may even be pressured to give up Adam to save himself, and that’ll put the life he wants at odds with his loyalty to someone who recently pushed him away.
This will be a cool storyline to watch unfold.
