Timothy Thatcher is a very deadly grappler, and everyone knows this. He’s also very respected for his craft, just not by his students as he teached them the ins and outs of proper submission wrestling, by applying these holds very hard. Last week, he had a live sparring session and lesson with Anthony Green, before going much too far. However, who would want to stand up to this master of the mat?
Let’s Learn Reversals!
While previous Thatcher focused on how to apply submissions, this week he’d show how to reverse. He’d start by applying a guillotine choke, grab the head and put the cutting bone across the windpipe, followed by a quick demonstration. The windpipe crush isn’t legal in wrestling, so instead go right above to the carotid artery, but if someone is desperate, they’ll grab whatever they can get.
So, lets learn a counter to this hold. Thatcher would have the hold applied on him, block the cutting bone and move to the side, to try and prompt your opponent to take you down to the mat. As you go down, move to the side again and turning his head, and now no matter how hard you crank, there is no choke. You can then use your forearm and crush their face to get free. He’d do this, grab the arm and apply a top wrist lock.
The trainee would get a chance to go ahead to try the same thing, but get outpaced by Thatcher, who applied a tight anklelock and wouldn’t let go.
Anthony Greene Fights Back Against Timothy Thatcher
Having seen enough, Green would rush the ring and save this fellow student from the same fate as him last week. He’d fight Thatcher off, and even nail a superkick to gain some space. Green is a decently big signing for WWE, and this could be his first big match. Thatcher won’t take this lying down, and considering the lesson he taught Green last week, it might end in disaster, but you don’t know unless you try!
Could Anthony Greene actually take Timothy Thatcher down, or will he be choked on while trying? Will more students rise up against their sadist teacher? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
