There could only be one moment that captivated the millions of fans from around the world, and that was the return of Edge at the Royal Rumble. It was something that not many wrestling fans could have ever foreseen, as his career looked to be over back in 2011 after he was forced to retire following neck surgery. However, the day that millions around the world thought would never come final did, as the Rated R superstar entered the Rumble at 21 to one of the loudest pops you’re likely to hear inside an arena.
Not just that, but the anticipation that he could win the whole thing was building the longer that he stayed in the match, but ultimately he was the man to finish third. Fans were relieved that the return was not a one-match deal, as he faced off against Randy Orton at WrestleMania and Backlash. Injury means that his return was cut short, but there is every expectancy that he will be back at some point in the very near future. At present, the video of Edge’s return at the Royal Rumble has been watched a remarkable 22 million times.
WWE News: WWE’s Other Highest Videos
There have been a number of other exciting moments in WWE this year, but fans may be surprised to learn that the video with the second most views was Retribution’s attack on Braun Strowman. It is worth mentioning that at this moment there was huge buzz about the new faction, but that has soon faded. The video from SmackDown when the group attacked Strowman got 17 million views.
Strowman was also involved in the third highest viewed video of the year, as he flipped over a truck with both John Morrison and The Miz inside. The action took lace on SmackDown back in June, and got 14 million views. Fans will be hoping that there are more shocking WWE moments before the end of the year.
