WWE Raw Results returned and they didn’t waste any time as Sheamus went right after Styles when the bell rang and rocked him with a series of rights and a body slam.
Sheamus hit a knee drop for a pin attempt, and then locked in a wrist lock and dragged Styles to his feet.
Styles fought back, but Sheamus quickly beat him back down.
Styles slipped out of the ring and Sheamus followed him, and Style hit him with a knee when Sheamus tried to enter the ring.
Style then bounced his head into a turnbuckle and drove a couple of shoulders into Sheamus’ midsection before Sheamus threw him chest first into the opposite turnbuckle.
Sheamus choked Styles out, then snapmared him over and landed a kick to his back. Sheamus then rested a knee on Styles’ face and then planted it hard.
Styles kicked Sheamus’ left leg after he absorbed a couple of upper cuts.
Styles flipped over Sheamus, but Sheamus hit with a back drop and then locked in an arm/neck stretch, using Styles’ nose for more leverage.
Styles grabbed Sheamus’ trunks and pulled him out of the ropes to the floor to buy himself some time.
Styles hit a series of knees, kicks, and punches while Sheamus was caught in the ropes. Styles the hit a running knee to send Sheamus back to the floor.
Styles waited in the ring and grabbed Sheamus when he tried to climb in, but Sheamus powered him up for a suplex slam, and then hit with a second one, but Styles blocked a third one and hit Sheamus in the throat.
Styles hit a dropkick to send Sheamus to the floor in front of Omos, and Sheamus sidestepped Styles’ leap over the ropes.
Styles landed on the ring apron and Sheamus hit him with a right in the small of the back and went to powerbomb Styles into the announce desk, but Omos pulled Styles out of his grip.
The two stared each other down as we headed to commercial.
Styles sends his first message
Back from commercial, Styles had a shin lock locked on in the ring, and Sheamus clubbed him on the chest to get him to break the hold, but Styles held on.
Sheamus hit a series of elbows and that broke the hold but the damage was done.
Styles kicked out Sheamus’ leg and then landed on his injured leg on the ropes.
Sheamus and Styles exchanged kicks with Styles getting the edge. Sheamus then reversed an Irish Whip into an Irish Curse backbreaker to get a breather.
Sheamus followed it with a couple of ax handles and a fallaway slam.
Styles caught him with a big boot, but Sheamus hit with a knee strike for a near pinfall.
Styles sidestepped Styles and sent him to the floor in front of Omos again, but Sheamus hit Styles with clubbing blows on the ropes and he then climbed to the top rope.
Sheamus hit a flying clothesline for a near pinfall.
Sheamus picked Styles up onto his shoulders, but Styles fought out of it and reversed it into a Calf Crusher.
Sheamus made it to the ropes to break the hold.
Styles went for a Styles Clash, but Sheamus reversed it with a White Noise for a near pinfall.
Limping toward Styles, Sheamus hit with a right, and then climbed to the second rope with Styles on his shoulders, but Styles slipped out and took out Sheamus’ leg.
Styles then rolled him up for the win.
After the match, Styles talked trash and Sheamus grabbed him. Omos then grabbed Sheamus and hung him up in the ropes but hanging out of the ring upside down.
Styles hit him with a couple of kick while Omos grabbed a chair for Styles and Styles wore it out on Sheamus’ midsection and injured leg.
