WWE Smackdown Results returned as the Street Profits cut their usual promo for Smackdown, citing Charlotte Flair being back and the upcoming matches.
Sami Zayn crossed their paths as he complained to a woman backstage for posting that match was authorized.
He then told the Street Profits not to get started because he has to defend his Intercontinental Championship in a Lumberjack Match.
They told Zayn they had a gift for him, and it was a shirt saying “I was the Intercontinental Champion” then mocked him.
Zayn screamed that they weren’t funny and stormed off.
Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso
Heading to the ring, Jey attacked Bryan on the ramp and threw him into the Christmas trees and presents before officials came out.
Jey hit a kick and a body slam on the ramps as we headed to commercial
WWE Smackdown Results returned with Bryan refusing to let the match be called, and he climbed into the ring.
Jey hammered Bryan down with a series of rights and stomps before Jey threw him to the floor and hit a suicide dive through the ropes.
Jey then threw him into the ring steps and then into the other steel steps. Jey threw Bryan into the ring and asked Bryan why he came back.
Jey hit a couple of chops, and Bryan fought back with a couple if his own but Jey hit a Samoan Drop off the ropes for a near pin.
Jey continued his methodical attack with a right and then a body slam, but Bryan rolled out of the way of a flying headbutt coming off the ropes.
Jey ducked and Bryan missed his double knees in the corner and Jey followed it up with hip attack in the corner.
Bryan flipped Jey over the top rope and it looked like Jey hurt his left ankle.
Bryan tried to hit a suicide dive, but Jey sidestepped and Bryan hit the announce table and injured his arm.
In the ring, Bryan headed to the top rope, but Jey met him and tried a superplex, but Bryan slipped out and dropped Jey on the top turnbuckle.
Bryan hit a couple of elbows to Jey’s back before hitting a super reverse suplex as we headed to commercial.
Never count Bryan down
WWE Smackdown Results were back from commercial and Bryan was in control as he continued working on Jey’s injured leg. He then hit a running boot in the corner.
Bryan wrapped Jey’s leg in the ropes and hit several kicks before landing a running dropkick on it.
Bryan then put Jey on the top rope and hit a hurricanrana for a near pinfall.
Bryan hit a series of Yes! kicks and then went for a running knee, but Jey countered with a superkick.
Jey hit another superkick and hit an Uso Splash but Jey was late in covering Bryan and Bryan kicked out.
Jey headed back to the top rope for another splash, but Bryan got his knees up and locked in the LaBelle Lock.
Jey managed to break the hold, and Bryan locked in a single leg Boston crab and Jey reached the rope to break the hold.
Jey kicked at Bryan with his good leg and then pounded Bryan, and they rolled back and forth as they beat on each other.
Jey hit with a headbutt that seemed to knock Bryan out, but Jey was slow to follow up.
Bryan ducked a superkick and hit a running knee for the win.
Backstage, Bryan was asked what was next for him not that his feud with Jey was over.
He said he always looks for new goals to try, and he said his next goal is to win the Royal Rumble and announced his entry into the match.
Sami Zayn gave him grief about having it out for him since day one, and he blamed Bryan because he has to defend his title so often.
He said he thinks Bryan stooged to management about it, and said karma would take care of him at the Royal Rumble and he’ll laugh in Bryan’s face.
Bryan then said he guessed Santa didn’t give Zayn a PS5 and asked if that’s what the kids are into. WWE Smackdown Results love the dig and can’t wait to see Bryan and Zayn’s potential feud.
