Jinny & Piper Niven have been at each other’s throats for a while now, but it ends tonight. Joseph Conners has been helping to do Jinny’s dirty work for a while now, and Piper Niven was ready to fight them both. NXT UK management wouldn’t allow this, so she pulled Jack Starz into the mix! This is NXT UK’s first ever Mixed Tag Team Match!
Joseph Conners Wants To Isolate Jack Starz
Niven wanted to start with Jinny, but Jinny wanted none of this. Conners tagged in which meant Starz had to come in, and he could beat down on this underdog with ease. Starz was in over his head in this match, and Conners knew it. He’d wrestle Starz down to the mat with a half nelson, before going for a pinfall.
Starz would show his fundamental wrestling skills, going after the left arm of Conners with a short arm scissors. Conners tried to break it with a pinfall, but it wouldn’t work. Instead he’d lift Starz up for a powerbomb and be countered into a hurricanrana. Conners would gawk as Starz made the tag to Niven, much to the displeasure of Jinny.
Jinny would have to get into the ring with her rival, but got a cheap shot on her rival after Conners ran a distraction. This didn’t do much for Jinny, as her leg was sweeped and she was hit with a running senton. Conners saved Jinny from a Piper Driver, and tagged himself in. Starz rushed in and hit a back body drop on Conners before being attacked by Jinny and hit with a bulldog.
Piper Niven Does It Herself
Conners would hit a vertical suplex on Starz, before attacking him on the mat. Starz would get up only to be slammed onto the mat with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Conners kept Starz away from Niven as best as possible. He missed a crossbody on Conners, tumbling to the outside. Back in the ring again, Starz threw some heavy strikes, and was able to crawl to the tag.
Niven would rush after a fleeing Jinny, who ran around the ring to try and get the high ground, only to run into a shoulder tackle instead. Jinny would be launched across the ring and hit with a low crossbody block, but came back with a rolling heel kick and a chop block. Niven came back with a headbutt, sending Jinny into the corner.
Conners called Niven ‘Common trash’ before being thrown into a suplex from Starz. They’d hit cannonball sentons in the corner, Niven nailed Conners with the Piper Driver and then press slamming Starz onto him for the win.
