It’s been a weird time for movies, but things are starting to go back to normal. We still have a lot of massive movies still to come.
Suicide Squad
The first Suicide Squad didn’t hit the mark. It felt like it took no inspiration from the comics and was considered a disaster of a movie. The new Suicide Squad, directed by Guardians of the Galaxy director; James Gunn.
The return of Harley Quinn and a much bigger roster of characters. It looks like a lot of people are going to die. It feels like a massive story full of villains and action similar to Guardians of the Galaxy.
Free Guys
Free Guys has been delayed, but it could be something special. A movie about an NPC in a game is a very original feeling concept, and also Ryan Reynolds plays the main character. The movie could go two ways.
It could be amazing or a massive disappointment. What has already been shown in the trailers looks very interesting and worth the watch.
Marvel Movies
There are a lot of Marvel movies on their way this year due to some delays. We have Black Widow, Venom 2, Enternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings coming this year. Marvel is making many movies that focus on lesser-known characters making it a very interesting time to watch Marvel movies.
There are also some well-known characters getting sequels and their first movies. It’s a very exciting time to be a Marvel fan.
Last Night in Soho
Edgar Wright has created some masterpieces in the past, from Hot Fuzz to Baby Driver. He has never really gone down the horror route. Making this his true horror route is going to be very interesting. A time-travelling horror film is an exciting concept for a movie.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Some may think that Ghostbusters should end, but Ghostbusters: Afterlife could be very surprising. There is still not much known about this movie, but it looks to be consistent with the other movies and brings some of the original cast back.
It also looks to bring some newbies into movies. Let’s hope they don’t overdo it.
The King’s Man
The King’s Man is going back to its roots of how they started. After two movies looking at the King’s Man in their prime. A new look at how the King’s Man started and what it was like back then will be exciting. It will also expand the universe of King’s Man, which could bring out some fantastic stories.
