Fans know that Jovi has really stepped up for his family. The TLC star says that he wants to be a good dad and husband, although his job doesn’t allow him to spend a lot of time to his family. Jovi travels for multiple months at a time, but also has a long-term off. Yara complains about this, but fans say that she knew was she was getting herself into when she agreed to marry him.
However, Jovi has been trying to be a good dad. Since the birth of Mylah, he stopped his drinking habit.

Jovi says that couples who don’t spend more time together after having kids end up separating, and he wants to make it work with his wife. Yara cannot leave her daughter with her mother-in-law so that she can spend more time with her husband.

Jovi has been called back to work after his daughter was born. This is coming at a bad time because of the hurricane that’s coming to New Orleans. The TLC star is emotional about leaving Yara and Mylah alone. He tells his mother to take them on so he can know that they will be safe. Yara does not know anyone in America, so it is harder for him to leave her and their daughter for months at a time.
At the airport, Jovi made sure he tells his baby, Mylah goodbye and while he says goodbye to Yara, she cries that she doesn’t want him to leave. Some viewers even say that they can Jovi trying to fight back tears. He tells TLC cameras that he hopes his family will be fine while he is away.
