‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set for another coast episode with some spoilery goodies.
This is going to be an interesting episode as we see some more parenting techniques at work and we get to dive back into a relationship attempting to be jumpstarted once more.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, June 17: Parental concerns
Victor Newman (Eric Braedon) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are going to wonder about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s choice to be with Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi).
It makes sense given Ashland’s going through a divorce and it’d look poorly on the Newmans if Victoria becomes the other woman despite not being the other woman.
Then there’s the face that Victor never really agreed with any of Victoria’s choices, and it can be argued he wants to keep her all to himself.
It’s something all dads go through, but few take it as far as Victor by constantly threatening the daughter’s significant other or even the daughter herself.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers are sure we’re going to see Victor hatch a plan of some sort to thwart this romance before it gets started because he needs to control everything without question.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, June 17: Testing the water
After a short break, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is going to be faced with another option to restart his relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).
It looks like Elena is going to put out some feelers to test the water about them getting back together, and we think Nate will be more open to it this time.
Of course, they’ll break up in a week or two because that’s what this storyline does. Although there’s hope these two can build something solid, we don’t see it simply for more repeated angles.
Still, we vote they’re allowed to become a couple and stay that way for a while. Change things up.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, June 17: Phyllis steps in
We can’t talk about parenting without mentioning Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as she’ll be looking out for Summer Newman (Hunter King)’s well being.
This means that once again she’ll warn Summer about Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).
We say once again because it seems Phyllis’ whole existence is to warn her daughter away from being an idiot by allowing an idiot into her life.
It looks like Phyllis may have given up on turning her against Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for the moment, so she’ll try to protect Summer from Kyle’s mistakes.
Summer will say she trusts Kyle and is watching out, but Phyllis will know better and not believe her.
