Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
We’re looking forward to this show as we’ll have plenty of confrontations with some matches sprinkled in as we draw closer to SummerSlam.
Grab a chair and some snack and get ready for the action!
The show started out with Jon Cena heading to the ring and promoted his match with Reigns at SummerSlam, and wanted to give Reigns his report card since school is back.
He gave him a D as a D-head, D-bag, and D-isapointment to mixed responses.
He added he’ll give Reigns an F at SummerSlam. He then asked the crowd if Reigns will beat the hell out of him at SummerSlam and admitted he will but Reigns will lose.

Roman Reigns came out with Paul Heyman flanking him as we headed to commercial.
We returned as Reigns finally made it to the ring to say his piece.
Cena introduced them to boos and Heyman handed a mic to Reigns.
Reigns doesn’t want to waste his time and wanted to get to it, and Cena told him he won’t waste his time but will wait one week to embarrass him.
Cena told him the company doesn’t belong to him but to the fans, and he’s there because he’s the only one that can stop him.
Cena then ripped into him for being pushed so hard for a decade no matter how he failed. He said he was asked to come back to feed Reigns humble pie.
Reigns gave him grief after expecting something fresh and he wanted something fresh.
Cena then mocked him for his handful of moves and then said he doesn’t need to prove himself, he just needs to pin Reigns.
Reigns said he respects him and that there’s not enough respect given to him and called him the best. He’d be proud to just say he can beat Cena.
He told him he’s good enough to win the WWE Championship, but not the Universal Championship.
Cena accused him of almost ruining Seth Rollins and running Dean Ambrose out, the last to a murmur from the crowd.
Cena counted to three a few more times before he left the ring, and the announcers counted a couple of times.
Intercontinental Championship – Apollo Crews (c) w/Commander Azeez vs. King Nakamura w/Rick Boogs
This should be a good match, and Crews started with a kick and some rights before hitting a suplex for a pin attempt.
Nakamura hit a kick and knee drop for a pin attempt, and was then distracted by Azeez so Crews could hit a kick.
Nakamura avoided a charge in the corner and hit Crews with a knee and put him on the top rope, but Crews fought him off.
Boogs climbed onto the apron and played his guitar and was booted from ringside. Azeez tried to sneak into the ring and the ref caught him and kicked him out from ringside as well.
