Once again, we are back with results from the two lowest ranking shows on the WWE totem pole. WWE Main Event & 205 Live taping spoilers are in, with the shows set to air over the coming days. We have some familiar faces on Main Event, with Ricochet once again finding himself stuck there, while some more heavyweights have invaded 205 Live.
Ricochet & Jaxson Ryker Get Some Wins On Main Event
When it comes to WWE Main Event, Ricochet might as well be the top champion of the brand with how often he’s featured there. From his feud with Mustafa Ali earlier this year, to his match this week against the equally talented and overlooked Angel Garza, he’s been doing his best to give people a reason to track this show down. Ricochet picked up the win over Garza, with this being their third match on Main Event against each other.
The second match taped saw Jaxson Ryker take on and defeat Cedric Alexander. Ryker is technically undefeated on Main Event since making his debut on the brand alongside Elias, with a 7 match win streak over the likes of Alexander, Garza, and Humberto Carillo. However, being undefeated on Main Event means less than winning the 24/7 championship. Still a fun note, which shows that WWE has some hope for Ryker yet.
205 Live Now Regularly Will Feature Heavyweight Talent
Before tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, we’d get the tapings for this Friday’s 205 Live. With them now sharing a timeslot with AEW Rampage you’d think they’d try to pull out some big guns… but no. We got two basic and rather stakeless matches, with both shattering the weight limit set on 205 Live. However, this is expected to be a trend, as WWE wants to keep this show running while purging the cruiserweight roster.
As for the matches of the week, first action saw Ikeman Jiro get a big win over Andre Chase, showing that sometimes Cruiserweights will defeat the invading heavyweights. In the second match, Joe Gacy crushed Greyson Waller for a win. Both matches were reportedly very good, so at least that part of 205 Live remains true.
