Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and tonight should be a fun one as we get to see the finishing touches put into place before we head to SummerSlam.
Go Home episodes are usually either promo heavy or not, so we’re looking forward to seeing how this one goes.
We’re going to grab some snacks and be back at the 8 p.m. EST start time to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling.
Segment 1
Edge said Seth Rollins‘ words last week is going to force him to go to a dark place, and he has to break and humble Rollins at SummerSlam. He’s going to burn him down.
Segment 2
Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio vs. Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso
This started off fast with Jimmy in control, but Rey quickly took over and sent Jimmy to the floor, then took out both Usos with a moonsault off the apron as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was a good match Jimmy won with an Uso Splash, but it happened because Dominik was caught trying to brace Rey up on a sunset flip and was caught. The Usos attacked while they argued.
Segment 4
Baron Corbin vs. Kevin Owens
This was a fun match that went back and forth before Big E came out and attacked Corbin to give Corbin the DQ win.
Corbin then rammed Big E into the ring post and ran off with the contract.
Segment 5
Shotzi and Nox vs. Natalya and Tamina
This was a quick one Shotzi won after countering a sharpshooter by Natalya for a rollup pin.
Segment 6
Rollins cut a promo, but the Brood’s music interrupted him and Edge appeared on the titantron and told Rollins he won’t see it coming and black oil poured from the ceiling and covered Rollins and the ring.
Segment 7
Montez Ford w/Angelo Dawkins vs. Otis w/Chad Gable
Ford came out swinging and put up a good fight, but Otis’ power was too much and he beat down Ford and hit a Vader Bomb for the win.
Segment 8
King Nakamura and Rick Boogs vs. Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez
This was a quick one, but Boogs and Azeez were impressive before Boogs hit a abdominal stretch slam on Crews for the win.
Segment 9
Bianca Belair vs. Zelina Vega
Belair dominated though Vega got a couple of shots in. Belair hit the KOD for the win.
Segment 10
Bianca Belair vs. Carmella
Carmella put up a good fight, but Belair overpowered her and hit a KOD for the win.
Segment 11
This back and fourth between Reigns and Cena was short and therefore better than last week.
Reigns swore either he leaves SummerSlam as champion or he’ll leave the WWE, and then he went for Cena and Cena rolled him up for a faux pin and mock celebrated as the show ended.
This was a better than expected show and the matches were pretty good. What did you think of it?
