Brock Lesnar is a superstar fans love to hate because he’s such a wonderful monster heel, but behind the scenes he’s shown an understanding and willingness to help others like Seth Rollins move forward.
On Broken Skulls Sessions with Steve Austin, Seth Rollins continued to share some of his experiences and one segment he talked about Brock Lesnar and how they got off to a rocky start, how he won Lesnar over, and how he learned from Lesnar.
Apparently, one of the ways to Lesnar’s heart is with Coors Light as he had a bucket of them taken to Lesnar’s dressing room after their WrestleMania 35 match as a thank you.
Rollins said he really enjoyed working with him, but by drinking with him he destroyed the Beast Incarnate’s mystique by proving he’s a nice guy.
Something different
Of course, this wasn’t the only thing that happened at WrestleMania 35 as Rollins defeated Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
With their match originally scheduled before the women’s championship triple threat main event, Lesnar reportedly said they needed to do something different because it’d hurt both matches if they were back to back.
So, they took the idea to go first to Vince McMahon, and they eventually got their way as the change was made an hour before the event started.
Another instance was when they first started working together when Lesnar told him no one will remember their match as the Undertaker was going to interfere to continue his and Lesnar’s storyline.
Lesnar thought it best to keep it simple since it was about the Undertaker’s return, and Rollins admitted he thought Lesnar didn’t want to work with younger talent at the time.
But now he understands the bigger picture as has quickly risen to being one of the best wrestlers in the world.
Spreading it out
There’s always room to grow, and not everyone conveys their knowledge in ways that we’re comfortable or understanding of.
And Rollins isn’t the only one that Lesnar helped grow or get over, as during his feud with Drew McIntyre leading up to WrestleMania 36 he gave McIntyre some pointers.
Leading up to their championship match, McIntyre dropped Lesnar on the stage on Raw with a Claymore, and the cameras caught Lesnar telling McIntyre to grab the belt and hold it up over him.
It’s sometimes the little things that can make or break a feud, and it’s always great to see the older talent passing on what they know as it’ll make the sport and our enjoyment of it all the better.
