With the first day of the draft on WWE Smackdown going better than the last few years, WWE Raw Preview expects smore of the same tonight as the rosters refresh themselves and more NXT talent is brought up.
But that’s not the only bit of news as Bill Goldberg promised to be at Raw for the first time since he lost to Lashley at SummerSlam and he’s going to be looking for payback.
Out for blood
After Lashley assaulted his son, who wasn’t an innocent this that, Goldberg said he’ll hurt Lashley and if he’s lucky he’ll kill him.

And now that Lashley lost his championship rematch, he’s fair game to be the next squash on Goldberg’s list.
Since his mystique was destroyed last week when he did several things out of character that allowed Big E to win, his dominance may be gone as he’ll start the descent down the food chain to a possible world title contender.
This could also have interesting ramifications as we think Lashley will be drafted to Smackdown and whether Goldberg will be in the draft or a free agent is still to be determined.
While the draft results don’t go into effect until October 22, we expect Goldberg to go all out to get a piece of Lashley before then.
Draft day two
It’s going to be interesting to see how Raw follows the day one of the draft, and we expect a lot more NXT talent to be called up as well as the standard moving around of the mainstays.
One thing is certain, with Big E as the WWE World Champion, we expect Raw to draft a couple of potential opponents for him either from NXT or Smackdown, and we’re curious who they’ll be.
The WWE also needs to balance out their women’s division so it should be cool to see who goes where.
One good thing that’s come of this is there was no brand separation on Smackdown, and WWE Raw Preview doubts there’ll be any tonight.
If there is one, then those that switched brands move awfully fast to get there or someone tipped them off. And yes, we say this sarcastically.
After the last few years of the draft being a laughing stock, it looks like they’re treating it like a legitimate tool like in the first couple of years.
