Mandy Rose was flanked by Toxic Attraction last week, as they delivered a vicious beatdown of NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. Rose put the champion on notice by raising the title above her head. Moon will be looking to get back in a groove and follow up a victory over Cora Jade on 205 Live a few weeks back. Can Rose build her title case with a victory over Moon?
Hitting the ring with Toxic Attraction at her back, Mandy Rose was ready to take down a former NXT Women’s Champion. Moon is someone who has taken Gonzalez to her limits, and could be a great test for Rose. Rose would get the first takedown with a headlock takeover, but Moon was able to wrestle her way free.

A shoulder tackle took Rose down, and Moon flaunted her goods before getting into the corner for some violent strikes in the corner. Toxic Attraction would pull Rose out of the ring, but you’re not safe from someone like Moon there. Jaci Jayne was taken out, and Rose ran right into an apron powerbomb. To finish the beatdown, she’d shove Gigi Dolin onto her ass.
Back in the ring, Rose would take advantage of the distracted Moon, and would get a tight body scissor hold after hitting a running forearm strike. Rose would show her submission skills as she applied a Cobra Twist, but Moon was able to slip free. A flying codebreaker would get some big damage, and another knee strike would follow. Moon went up top, and would be looking for The Eclipse, but Rose dodged and hit a vicious running knee strike for the win.
This match could have used a few more minutes to help show the skills of Mandy Rose. Ember Moon looked fantastic here, and what we saw from Rose was promising. However – much like most matches on NXT 2.0 – it needed another few minutes. Match Rating: 2.5/5 (** 1/2)
After this match, we’d hear from Santos Escobar on Hit Row getting drafted. Getting sent to Smackdown saved them, but Escobar still wants that NXT North American Championship. Swerve isn’t known for stepping down from a challenge.
Will Mandy Rose be on her way to a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship? When will Swerve return to NXT for one last title fight? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
