Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight looks like it’ll be a fun one as we kick off the King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments, so let sit back and get to the action!
The show started with Bianca Belair already climbing into the ring and Becky Lynch sat with her feet propped up on a table on the ramp and Sasha Banks stood on the announce desk.
Adam Peace welcomed us to the season premiere of Smackdown and Sonya Deville introduced the three women with recaps as they readied to sign the contract.
Lynch started it off by pointing out Belair’s losing streak and then promised payback on Banks.
Banks asked if she missed her since the fans did, or if she was just jealous.
Belair silenced them and said they should be signing as Banks only wants to cheap shot her and Lynch was lucky at SummerSlam.

Belair challenged them to get into the ring and Belair threw a chair toward her, and Lynch knocked over her table as Banks attacked Belair from behind.
Banks and Lynch took turns stomping down Belair, and then turned on each other.
Belair picked up both of them on her shoulders, and knocked Banks onto the table with Lynch when she got loose and slammed Lynch into her and both of them through the table.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio was with Dominik when he was asked what it means to win the King of the Ring Tournament.
He said it’d be the greatest honor and it’d make him sick if Sami Zayn wins. Dominik then told him he’ll watch from the backstage area.
Once Rey was in the ring, Zayn approached Dominik and told him it’s time to be his own man and said he think Dominik’s better than Rey.
King of the Ring Tournament Round One – Rey Mysterio vs. Sami Zayn
Rey ducked Zayn’s Helluva kick to start off, and Rey fought him off and hit a hurricanrana, but Zayn countered a leg scissors into a powerbomb for a pin attempt.
Rey ducked a clothesline and set Zayn up for a 619, but Zayn rolled to the floor. But Rey hit a hurricanrana over the top rope.

Back in the ring, Rey this a splash for a pin attempt.
Zayne slipped out from under him in the corner and slid Rey across the mat and into the ring post and to the floor and Dominik came out as we headed to commercial.
Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring with Zayn hammering on Rey in the corner. Rey fought out of the corner but Zayn caught him and hit an exploder into the corner.
Rey countered a Helluva Kick with a leg scissors for a pin attempt, and then a sunset bomb for another near pinfall.
Rey hit a springboard hurricanrana for another near pinfall, then missed a crossbody off the ropes but countered a Blue Thunder Bomb with a leg scissors.
Zayn dodged a 619 and hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near pinfall.
Dominik distracted Zayn by putting a turnbuckle pad back on and Zayn shoved Rey into Dominik and Zayn rolled him up for the win.
This was a good match WWE Smackdown Results enjoyed even if the ending was what we expected.
