We’re nearing the end of the year, which means we’re close to the road to Wrestlemania. However, there are some expected stops on the way from now to January. Normally, October would bring the Hell in a Cell PPV, but that was bumped up in the schedule this year. Crown Jewel currently will be the October PPV, while Survivor Series takes it’s historical spot in November. With two PPV’s now set for January with Day One and the Royal Rumble, WWE is making a rare move and realizing that less is more. They are going to give fans some time to breathe, give matches time to build, and not give a tired attempt at TLC for the sake of a gimmick named PPV.

TLC will be missed by some, but they have a chance to make the match mean something again if they get rid of the annual PPV. We are potentially seeing this with Hell in a Cell as well, which is a match concept that finally feels relevant again with Edge vs. Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel. TLC could have a similar revival,
