Corey wrote a scathing message against the other woman, Jenny, but fans believe the message was composed by Evelin herself. Meanwhile, the Ecuadorian wrote a lengthy caption to IG, chronicling the criticism she receives and the difficulty she has experienced, but many fans didn’t feel bad for her.
A Reddit user, U/Ginger_Soul99 shared Evelin’s post with the caption, “Evilyn lost the bar?” after the TLC star cited losing her bar as one of the numerous reasons the last two years have been difficult for her. Viewers quickly stormed the comment section to analyse the situation and revealed that her business might not have been what it seemed to be.
“From what I have read, her and Corey opened a bar (more of a hut without walls) on land they didn’t own and didn’t seek permission from the land owner. The land owner destroyed the bar and told them to get lost. Now she claims she has ‘lost her bar’,” someone wrote, and another person wrote back that, “Someone else said it was public property. Either way it was completely their stupidity.”

Fans can recall that Corey spent what he estimated to be $40k on Evelin’s bar, so he might not be in the best financial situation now that Evelin has lost it. However, some fans were not surprised that they lost the bar. “It’s a really common practice in parts of Latin America. You ‘take over’ land and then it’s yours. If someone else already owned it they come back to fight for it back,” someone explained.
Fans have no sympathy for Evelin after she shared the post to Instagram. “I definitely feel no sympathy for her. She was cruel and nasty from day 1 when she wouldn’t bother to meet Cory at the bus station,” one commenter wrote.
A lot of viewers are hoping that the couple will not return to the franchise after this season finishes airing. They don’t like to see the way Evelin treats Corey and how he doesn’t defend himself. In fact, fans have said that Jenny who appears to be sweet and kind would be a far better match for the American.
