WWE and AEW war has just started to hit its stride with the recent Friday battle kind of ending in a draw if you look at the numbers, with both winning in certain areas. WWE did have a handicap here with the Smackdown on another channel, but something else has been revealed that is in AEW favour. Original reporting by WrestleTix on Twitter saying:
“Just noticed a major shift in pricing for the WWE event. In some cases, the prices have been cut in half. Previously upper decks were $30+, and some are now available for $15.”
Why is this another win for AEW?
The ticket price change looks to be due to the fact that currently, AEW is going to the same venue that is the UBS Arena. WWE will be appearing at the venue on November 29th, and AEW will be going to the venue on December 9th. Currently, AEW have sold over 7,639 tickets, while WWE has sold only 3,130.
It should be mentioned that AEW was selling the tickets cheaper, making the change of price by WWE a reaction to AEW selling more at a lower price. This is another move in the competition between both companies. We won’t know who will get the most tickets until both events have passed. But it’s a very interesting change that we could see more changes down the line.
