AEW and Impact have had some of the biggest crossovers after the past two Impact champions have been AEW wrestlers.
However, this could end at Bound for Glory with Josh Alexander looking like he will beat Christian Cage, which means that it’s time for a new crossover between both companies, which has been talked about for a while. It’s starting to pick up steam in a feud between AEW and Impact Women’s Champions.
With Britt Baker and Deonna Purazza being one of the dream feuds between both companies for fans. It seems like it’s not just a dream match for fans but for both competitors, as Deonna Purazzo has spoken to Fightful about this.
Speaking with Fightful Deonna had this to say about a possible match
“I know that Britt and I have both (pitched to work together as a team). We went to Scott and to Tony and said, ‘When can we make this happen? I think it was a matter of time and when it would be right. That’s why I started saying, ‘We should just be a tag team’, because one of us has to lose a championship if we wrestle each other, but if we wrestle with each other against two other people, maybe at IMPACT Wrestling where there’s Knockouts Tag Team Champions, we can wrestle the champions and become tag team champions together.
“I just feel like (Baker and Green) are legit my two real-life best friends. They’re the people I talk to all day, every single day, so I just think that that works. Those are the two people that I travelled the country with, that I shared hotel rooms with, and I shared cars with them. Chelsea lived with me at one point and was training to get back in the ring after she had an injury.
“So, those are people that I’ve lived this whole life with, and I don’t think that there’s any better person I can have a better relationship with than those two. So, I know that’s what doesn’t make a tag team, but I think that having that dynamic, being able to finish each other’s sentences, and being able to know what each other are thinking, or things like that, really benefits having a tag team partner that can do that, and then going for the gold because you can anticipate everyone’s movements.”

Could we see this feud start at Bound for Glory and end at Full Gear?
Impact and AEW both have a PPV coming, making it possible that Bound for Glory may set this match up with Britt Baker appearing on the PPV to set up the feud. Then nearly a month later may see the match between Britt and Deonna take place in AEW Full Gear. Currently, we don’t have a feud for Britt Baker for the title, with all other matches starting to be set up. So it’s possible Britt could be put off until Bound for Glory.
