The Guardians of the Galaxy game may be one of the biggest releases this month, but it’s not being talked about that much. Even though there is a lot of marketing around the game, it seems like many fans are boycotting the game due to the Marvel Avengers game being a disaster.
Through its microtransactions and really poor development to make a massive cash grab of a game and has no signs of being fixed at any point. Square Enix is behind both of these games hurts the Guardians of the Galaxy game.
Marvel Avengers recent change hasn’t helped
Then there’s the more recent news that Marvel Avengers have added even more pay to win elements recently. Making it possible to buy an XP pack which didn’t help. This new update was only months before the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy. At a time where the audience could grow with it coming to Game Pass. It all seems like terrible timing, shooting themselves in the foot.
Why you shouldn’t skip on the game
However, Square Enix is behind this one makes it seem like they have learned from their mistakes. Currently no microtransaction, with all outfits available to unlock through playing. It has an original concept as you can only play as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy. It also looks like they have taken a lot of stories from the comics to make the story feel like you’re reading a comic.
A lot is pointing to this game to be completely different to the Marvel Avengers game. But with the Marvel Avengers game getting worse and worse. It seems like Marvel Avenger is hurting the Marvel gaming brand, but this game could be what brings it back for Square Enix.
