Last week at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, Dakota Kai made an impactful return. She nailed Raquel Gonzalez with a shovel, allowing Mandy Rose to beat her and claim the NXT Championship. Tonight, she will return to the ring, and look to shut down the winning ways of Cora Jade- who has pulled off two upset wins in a row. Before hitting the ring, she met with Rose and her faction, and explained “I didn’t do it to help you. I did it to end Raquel Gonzalez”.
Dakota Kai Has Gone To The Dark Side…. Or Has She?
This was a new Dakota Kai, one who was truly done with being nice at all. She’s gotten nowhere having friends, and it’s time to show everyone what King Kota could do. Meanwhile, Jade looks like the old pre-WarGames Dakota Kai – a plucky underdog. Kai would nail a fast lariat as soon as the bell rang, and the crowd started a “Kota’s Going To Kill You” chant as she locked in a modified chokehold.
Jade was able to get back up and hit a running hurricanrana, before a running knee in the corner. A snapmare set up a pinfall attempt, getting a one count before grabbing a double underhook. Kai would easily counter into a back body drop, Jade would take a Scorpion Kick and the running kick in the corner, ending the winning streak.
Kai would drag Jade outside the ring after the bell, keen to keep the beatdown coming. She pulled her to the steel steps by her hair, and pulled out a table. It was placed over the face of Jade, and Kai couldn’t nail a double stomp and crush her. There might be some good left in her afterall, but clearly Kai is at a crossroads in her career.
Xyon Quinn Is Full Of Surprises
Last week during the Halloween party of Grayson Waller, Robert Stone would end through a table as he pissed off Xyon Quinn. Quinn, also known as The Samoan Ghost, has been on an absolute roll as of late in NXT 2.0, and looks to take down the crafty in-ring veteran of Stone tonight.
Stone would mouth off, and claim he’s going to win in a singing contest and then pin him in the ring. Quinn would laugh as Stone sang the theme song of Franky Monet, which got a great negative reaction from the crowd. Stone asked what was so funny, and Quinn would finally speak in NXT. He only came out to kick ass, but he can sing if needed. The music of Shawn Michaels would blast, and Quinn absolutely nailed it, while fending off Stone.
After the bell rang, Quinn would throw Stone around like a sack of potatoes – hit a back elbow in the corner. A twisting samoan drop, and Jackhammer later? Stone was down for the count.
