Charlotte Flair’s in the news again but it’s not for defending her character or a social media feud.
Instead, she recently touted two wrestlers she feels are the future of the WWE women’s division and company as a whole.
During the WWE’s recent UK tour, Flair sat down with BT Sport and had a chat about who’s the future of the women’s division and the names won’t surprise many.
We want to offer special thanks to Wrestlinginc.com for the following quotes.
“First, I want to say, Rhea Ripley. I truly believe she is the future of the women’s division. Like, our Money In The Bank match was untouchable and she walked out a star. She could have beat me easy that night. I just have more experience, I’m older. To see her grow and develop, I’m really proud of her.
“Obviously, Bianca, we had two main event matches back-to-back on Raw a couple of weeks ago. I was like, ‘You’re the real deal. Take it, run with it. Obviously, there are even newer girls, but to me, Bianca and Rhea are just getting their feet wet. It’s an exciting time.”
The future is bright
Like we said, no surprises in her choices as both are young and hungry and their talent can’t be denied.
The only question is when will the time be right for them?
Both are already form women’s champions on the Raw and Smackdown brands, and Ripley is the more polished one of the two, but Belair is right there with her.
She’s gotten a little stale lately, but that could be from over exposure or her character needing a little more polishing.
Of course, having her face off with Becky Lynch as a heel, and one fans haven’t been able to bring themselves to boo, didn’t help her.
They both have so much talent it’s hard to believe they won’t be leading the charge into the future before too long.
Plenty of others
The WWE has plenty of others capable of stepping into the light as well, and we’re finally seeing some of them given a chance and more than a 5 minute match to show what they can do.
This looks like it’s going to be a fun ride and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
