25 Years ago, The Rock made his debut at Survivor Series. Tonight, 25 men will enter the ring for a big time Battle Royale, all in honor of The Rock. AJ Styles, Omos, Otis, Chad Gable, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, R-Truth, & T-BAR will represent RAW. Meanwhile Cesaro, Ricochet, Mansoor, Sami Zayn, Angel, Humberto, Jinder Mahal, Shanky, Erik, Ivar, and Drew Gulak are here for Smackdown Live. Who will be left standing?

25 Men Fill The Ring, And Street Profits Brought Pizza Hut – Omos Cleans House

Before this match, Vince McMahon called Roman Reigns into his office to see a prop egg from Red Notice – given to him by The Rock. He claims it’s worth 100 million dollars, and Reigns claims that’s how much his next contract will cost. Only Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Street Profits and AJ Styles & Omos got televised entrances, showing they are higher in the pecking order.

Street Profits are sponsored by Pizza Hut now, and Byron Saxton wants some, but Cole and Graves steal his pizza. They aren’t sharing. Be a star mate, be a star. The match would start, and AJ Styles fled the ring and hung out on the announce table. Drew Gulak, Humberto, and Shelton Benjamin were out – and R-Truth tried to bribe Omos or Otis with pizza. Otis took it and then eliminated Truth, and Omos took him out.

Gable was out next, then T-Bar. Cedric Alexander was out, the crowd wanted pizza. Erik, Ivar, and Jinder Mahal were all out. Shanky and Omos met, the biggest men in the match. Omos would easily take Shanky out. Mansoor was out after a two on one from Dirty Dawgs, who were taken out one by one by Omos and AJ Styles.

Sami Zayn would recruit Ricochet & Cesaro for the pride of Smackdown in parting the red sea, and was thrown out after insulting them. Omos took out Azez, and Styles would be yanked out. Now he was angry, and took out Crews first. Everyone attacked, but were beaten away. Cesaro was the only man capable of the task and he was out first, Dawkins next, and Ford next. Ricochet & Omos were all that’s left. Smart work from Ricochet almost got it, but Omos wins! Street Profits give the fans pizza. What a moment.

The Usos Take The Fight To Randy Orton & Riddle

In recent years WWE has put on some fun champion vs. champion matches for Survivor Series – and they tend to be excellent. This match between RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro & Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos should be no exception. No real stakes here, but this match does give Randy Orton the most PPV matches in WWE history at 176 overtaking The Undertaker who had 175 in WWE, so he’ll be looking to make it a win.

The Usos started fast on Riddle, who would instead just like Jimmy Uso and throw him aside with freaky strength. Orton got the tag, and The Usos fled to the outside to regroup before going after Orton… and taking a slick shot to the nose as Orton teased an RKO. The standing floating RKBroton would get a two count, before Jimmy was taken out with a PK. Despite this, superior teamwork would get The Usos back on top.

Riddle would be isolated with the ring cut in half, with Jimmy able to shut down a comeback before taking the Bro to Sleep. Orton got a tag and nailed some snap powerslams and wanted the rope hung DDT. Jey was planted face first, and had to block the RKO with some superkicks.

Riddle was right in and throwing some kicks and suplexes on both Usos, until Jey got the knees up on a Broton to stop his flurry. Pop up Samoan Drop landed, and double superkick shut down Orton and Riddle, but the late pin saw Riddle kick out. He’d block a superkick from Jimmy, and get a tag to Orton. Jimmy missed this and tried to splash Riddle, taking an RKO out of nowhere for the finish.

Not quite the tag team epic fans expected, but a decent little interlude on a stacked show. The Usos don’t have bad tag matches, just some forgettable ones. RK-Bro might be entertaining, and two great singles wrestlers – but they haven’t shown top tier tag team chemistry. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
