Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one as RK-Bro faces the Usos and New Day in a Triple Threat Match and Xia Li makes her Smackdown debut.
We’re going to grab some snacks and return to kick things off and get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. EST start time.
Segment 1
Sami Zayn came out in a wheelchair with two male nurses and said he’s going to sue everyone involved in the travesty last week.
Heyman came out and they got into a jawing battle before Zayn and the nurses surrounded him and Brock Lesnar came out.
After a hilarious exchange, Lesnar took out the nurses and hit a F-5 on Zayn.
It looks like Roman Reigns is off tonight.
Segment 2
Los Letharios (Humbert Carrillo, Angel Garza) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs
This was a quick one that lasted a minute or two before Nakamura hit a kinsasha for the pin on Humberto.
Segment 3
Kofi Kingston presided over a recrowning for King Woods, and Woods proclaimed they’ll defend their honor and prove they’re the best tag team in the land later tonight.
Drew McIntyre learned that Sonya Deville made the battle royal list and a higher authority told her to leave him off it.
Segment 4
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus
They started off pounding on each other and took it to the floor where McIntyre hit a belly to belly suplex as we headed to commercial.
Segment 5
After a great back and forth, McIntyre hit a Claymore for the win that was followed by a tribute to Jack Lanza, who sadly passed away this week.
Segment 6
Naomi vs. Sonya Deville
This match didn’t happen as Deville brought out Shayna Baszler and Natalya, then Xia Li came out to join Naomi and fought them off.
Li’s entrance was awesome as the graphics made it look like lightening was coming off her, but the rest felt weak after the build up.
Segment 7
Championship Qualification – Charlotte Flair vs. Toni Storm
This was a quick one where Toni put up a good fight, but Flair wouldn’t stop stomping Toni into the ring post so she was DQed.
Segment 8
Brock Lesnar thanked Adam Pearce for his suspension as he got to go moose hunting, and he went into great detail about dressing it and how he named it Pearce to always remember his suspension.
Segment 9
Triple Threat – The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, King Woods) vs. RK-Bro (Randy Orton, Riddle)
Riddle and Kofi started it off by trading moves, and the pace picked up when Woods tagged in.
Jey Uso blind tagged in and he and Jimmy his a double suicide dive on their opponents on the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
The Usos worked over Riddle throughout this segment, and Jimmy took out Orton on the apron so Jey could hit a neckbreaker for a pin attempt, but the New Day saved the pin as we headed to commercial.
Segment 11
The ending was a furious pace as Orton finally came in and wiped out the New Day and Usos before Woods blind tagged him out so he and Kofi could hit a double team on Jey Uso for the win.
The ending match was great, but it felt like they wanted us to miss seeing Orton in action and dragged it out with 15 minutes of entrances and commercials leading up to it.
