Tyron Woodley Demands Extra $500K “I Saved the F**cking Card” Bonus From Jake Paul

Tyron Woodey has made much of his promised $500,000.00 knockout bonus for the rematch against Jake Paul this weekend. The former UFC welterweight champ, however, was never one to let money pass him by, and wants to squeeze as much juice out of this fight as he can.

Accordingly, when discussing the fight with ESPN, Tyron Woodley said he deserved an extra half-million simply for saving the fight card. “We need a new bonus. A ‘keeping the hope alive and the card alive’ bonus. We need to add that, too.”

Woodley continued, pointing out that, without him, the entire card would have fallen over. All Jake Paul’s coaches, training partners, and the entire apparatus of the undercard would have gone nowhere. Jake Paul, he says, would have lost a phenomenal amount of money, so he owes at least some of that mitigated loss to the former UFC champ.

“I think we should throw another $500k in there just because all these people would have wasted their time, their training camp, their coaches.

Tommy Fury would have caused all of them not to fight. The venue, the ticket sales, the refunds, the sponsors, yeah, let’s get another $500k. I saved the f**king card.”

Tyron Woodley lost his boxing debut against Jake Paul via unanimous decision earlier this year. He claims that, since then, he has been vigorously training, and preparing for the historic rematch.

Paul was initially scheduled to fight Tommy Fury, younger brother to world heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, but an injury and infection in the British boxer left Paul without an opponent. Tyron Woodley stepped in at short notice, promising that this time will be different.

Woodley was best known as a wrestler during his time in the Octagon, albeit one with an obscenely powerful right hand. Woodley’s knockout power was legendary during his time at the top, but it was nowhere to be seen when he fought Jake Paul the first time.

However, Jake Paul added a $500,000.00 knockout bonus to their contract. That is, if Tyron Woodley can knock Jake Paul out in the boxing ring this weekend, he takes home an additional half-million in addition to his appearance fee and a take from pay-per-view purchases.

Considering that, apart from Woodley visibly rocking Paul early in their first fight, Paul vs Woodley 1 was a largely dull affair, this may well be the key to boxing success for Tyron Woodley.

Do you see Woodley taking home a victory – and a big purse – this weekend? Let us know in the comments.
