The Holiday season is reaching a fever pitch, as we draw ever closer to December 25th. On December 24th, we will see an episode of Smackdown Live – but despite it’s name? It’s not going to be live. This next episode has been taped, with the results of a handful of matches now open knowledge thanks to fans within the arena. So spoilers are ahead, and this is your warning!
Twelve Days Of Christmas Gauntlet Match Dominates The Runtime Of Smackdown Live
This episode will be dominated by the “Twelve Days Of Christmas” gauntlet match, which is set to take most of the episode’s runtime. The winner will be Sami Zayn, who last eliminated Ricochet. Other men in the match will include Drew Gulak, Mansoor, Erik, Ivar, Shanky, Jinder Mahal, Sheamus, Cesaro, Angel, and Humberto.
This win gets Sami Zayn a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE Day One. The belt is currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura, meaning fans could get a taste of the magic that we saw at NXT Takeover: Dallas, where these two met in Nakamura’s debut match for WWE, a match which is still considered his best in the company.
It’s A Miracle On 34th Street… Fight!
Another match set to air during this show is Charlotte Flair vs. Toni Storm. This will be for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, but Storm is sadly not set to get her first piece of main roster gold here. Charlotte Flair will win by pinfall, as if there was any doubt.
Finally, we have the annual “Miracle On 34th Street Fight”, which has become a fan favorite due to the wacky nature of the match. It will be set up earlier in the night by Drew McIntyre hitting Madcap Moss with The Claymore, and closes out the show as McIntyre & The New Day defeat Moss & the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, The Usos. Moss will meet McIntyre one on one at Day One, and could also see another PPV clash between Usos & New Day given the results of this match.
