It is no secret that Zayn Malik has been looking to keep a low profile of late. He was involved in a huge scandal with none other than his ex Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid in which Zayn was alleged to have assaulted her.
Although Zayn Malik denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that he did not contest the charges in order to avoid putting any negative media scrutiny on the Hadid family. This is particularly true since he shares a daughter (Khai) with Gigi Hadid.
And having had some time off to recollect his thoughts, he has now made a return to let his fans know that things are in a better place. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Zayn shared a picture of himself wearing some sunglasses.
He can be seen donning a jacket, as he looks to the side. It is good to see Zayn finally sharing some time with his fans, and yet, it is far from an ideal place for him. His relationship with Gigi looks to be over, as there are no signs that the pair will be looking to put their differences aside.
Although they have always wanted to put their child first, given that they have been through so much together as evidenced by their various breakups and reconciliations, walking away from each other has not been easy.
In a statement at the time of the scandal, Zayn outlined his desire to keep his family unit together. He remarked: “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness.
“And despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.”
Hopefully, with time, Zayn will be accepted back into the public realm. But in the meantime, the only thing that he can do is to be there for his daughter, who will very much need her father.
